Smarthome has just announced the recent expansion of its Cortexa home automation product line by launching the new 8.4" and 15" touchscreens. These new Cortexa touchscreens are clearly powerful and will provide fast processors, flush mounting, acrylic bezels,
capacitive soft-touch configurable buttons, web cameras and many more features.
"Smarthome has always been a supporter of Cortexa, and we are proud to continue that relationship with the introductions of our new touchscreens," said Jesse Lind, Cortexa Head of Sales and Operations. "These affordable and powerful screens finally bring all the pieces of Cortexa together. We now have a unique, reliable and complete home automation product suite."
The robust solid-state touchscreen will allow users to access the Cortexa Home Automation Controller, while third-party web-based or Windows-based applications can also be configured. RoHS compliant, the new Cortexa touchscreens
are energy-efficient and will offer customers reliability for years thanks to the always-on service through the XPe embedded OS.
"The Cortexa touchscreens provide consumers with the ultimate in touchscreen control for a variety of home automation systems, security and surveillance systems, and whole home audio/video systems," stated Laurie Maroni, Vice President of Marketing at Smarthome. "Cortexa also offers a free iPhone application that allows users to control products remotely, which syncs with the touchscreen."
As a complement to the Cortexa controller series, the touchscreens are very well suited for any web-based or Windows-based application where the user demands an in-wall location and touch access as essential needs. By sporting a solid-state architecture, the touch screens offer a robust means of controller stability, with an overall low heat, high performance fanless processor, while the acrylic bezel frame supplies four soft-touch sensing buttons, webcam and microphone with two amplified speakers.
Available among the Cortexa home automation product line on Smarthome's website, the new 8.4" and 15" touchscreens sport prices of $1,750 and $2,550, respectively.
