I really don't know how to start talking about the next product, coming from Sony Ericsson, because I don't even know exactly what it is, but I will find out by the time I'm done here. As an overview, the manufacturer tells us
to rock on the radio or groove on our tunes, gossip (which we won't because it is not nice) and all that with our hands being free to do whatever we will.
Finally, I found out what this is - namely a stereo portable handsfree, because it is not only for listening, packing a microphone, a call answer key and 3.5mm jack to swap headphones. Sony Ericsson lets us know that each element of this music accessory was developed to boast the best audio performance possible, included with clear sound, deep bass and better performance as standard.
Coming in a 1.7 x 1.5 x 6.2 cm encasing, the MW600 weighs no more than 13 grams and has a black finish. With an operating range of up to 10 meters, the gadget will work with most Bluetooth-enabled devices; as for wired compliance, it will work with Sony Ericsson J132, K330, T280i, W200i and, of course, the long expected
Xperia X10.
Now, the fun can begin by putting SE to shame, since the technical specifications tell us the speakers are 2 x 9mm 32W dynamic drivers. I mean, come on,
the EU is shouting at manufacturers to implement volume limiters in their MP3 players' firmwares and SE has 32W speakers on the MW600? That, besides the fact it is completely impossible and that of a 9mm driver being capable of a maximum of 100mW as far as I know. The microphone, on the other hand, is just a simple electret.
Bluetooth connectivity on this has various profiles, for acting as a controller, sink, handsfree, headset, as well as audio video remote control and advanced audio distribution. Even scouting on various third-party web sites I could not find out any info on availability or pricing.
