Man, there are a lot of PS3-related rumors lately! First about the PS3 slim, then about the PS3 getting its price lowered and (skipping the enumeration of other rumors) now Foxconn's denying of another rumor that it may be starting to ship the slim version of the PS3 as early as next month.
According to
Electronista, Foxconn invoked customer confidentiality today regarding the fact that rumors were citing it to be the assembly firm behind Sony's future slim PS3 console. The gadget is supposed to have a much cooler Cell processor and graphical units allowing for a smaller console but also a 120GB hard drive. If we were to believe the rumors, it means that the updated PS3 will be arriving some time next month.
Which is not so far fetched, since, if you remember, I wrote about another rumor claiming that the PS3 might be getting its prices cut due to the appearance of a new PS3 version. Of course, there are also other rumors circulating the world wide web, some claiming that Sony is planning to launch a whole new console in 2010, while some claim that the PS3 Slim does not even exist and it is just a rumor started by Sony to cover something else up.
All in all, it seems that rumors regarding the Japanese company are popping up on a daily basis now and I cannot but wonder whether these are just that or the proof that Sony is up to something and it is going to introduce that pretty soon. Unfortunately, all we can do is wait and see what the next month brings. Will it bring the PS3 Slim, a cheaper PS3 or a surprise? Stay tuned because there will definitely be more to come!
