It would seem that more and more companies are starting to understand the importance of customization options for their products, since such a process really offers users an enhanced sense of ownership over their gadgets. And we're not talking here just about small-size products, but about laptops as well, one of the latest offerings in this field coming from Japanese company Sony and referring to their E Series Vaio PCs.

So, as the SonyStyle Blog informs us, Sony's come up with an offering called the VAIO E Color Combo, which allows users to pick the desired color or color combo not just for thei VAIO E notebook but the mouse, keyboard skin and sleeve as well. Plus, all the choices can be viewed online, before being actually purchased, thus allowing users to make up their minds a lot faster.

Beside being able to choose the overall case color that best suits their needs, users will also be able to customize the keyboard skin color, which is quite an interesting and useful option, as far as we're concerned.

Plus, Sony's also offering eight mouse color options, not to mention a very large number of protective sleeves. Luckily, these sleeves are reversible, so users will actually have more than one look.

Unfortunately, just US customers will be able to benefit from this offering for the time being, but we're really looking forward to see it become available in other parts of the world as well.
