It's all clear now for me. Every little, medium or big gadget, speaker system and mostly anything will start sporting iPod/iPhone docks. At least, that's what the latest trends suggest; every major company released at least one device like that. Now, Apple users will have a huge amount of gadgets and devices to choose from.
Sony, for example, announced the addition of another
iPhone/iPod dock, among a subwoofer and two speakers, USB connected. This is the latest 2.1 sound system from Sony, namely SRS-GD50iP.
It comes equipped with an integrated iPhone docking station as to provide a maximum entertainment value whenever you have some spare time at home. The integrated dock, called the True Dock, will enable users to charge, play music or just sync their iPhone or iPod with iTunes, all the content being synchronized via the USB standard connection.
Though the pre-made thoughts about USB-connected speakers might lead us thinking that this is just another USB low-power iPod dock sound system, the truth stands behind the USB port. Even
the chic design might give us a wrong impression, but really, the SRS-GD50iP meets no hassle playing loud music up to a total of 60W - given the 40 watt rating for the subwoofer and 10 watts for each satellite speaker.
Adding to the hassle-free operation of the system, Sony included a wireless remote control that allows you to change the volume levels and play or pause the music. Compatible with the latest iPhone 3GS and a lot of other iPod and iPhone models, even from the 1st generation, the new SRS-GD50iP should be available by the end of August for an expected price ranging between $150 and $199.
