Since the Holiday season is approaching manufacturers have started to update their product lines to meet your very special wishes, Sony just announcing a wide series of upgrades for its Vaio line ranging from Blu-ray drives and better graphics to higher resolution display panels.
So, to take things one step at a time, first in line is the
Vaio EB, EA and AC series laptops that will now be available with the new Intel Core i5 580M and 460M processors, as well as a new Pentium offering, the EA and EB series also getting ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB dedicated graphics as an $100 option.
The EB and EC laptops will also get a
Full HD panel (a badly needed option if you ask me) this $50 upgrade being available for free if you buy a customized EB or EC laptop until October 9th.
Next in line is the Vaio L All-in-One touchscreen computer, that will now get a Blu-ray drive as standard along with a massive 2TB hard drive, Intel quad core processors and TV tuner.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Vaio F series notebook that can now be configured with a
GeForce GT 425M graphics card with 1GB of video RAM, for $50 more, while also coming with an USB 3.0 port for connecting high speed external storage devices.
All these do indeed sound like really nice upgrades and will surely make the Vaio line of products much more attractive this Holiday season, the EB and EC notebook series finaly becoming worthy of the Sony Vaio name thanks to the new Full HD displays available.
