GPS AnyPlace reported a few days ago the recovery of a Ford Crew cab, model 2005, that belonged to and was operated by Redstone Construction, located in Little Rock, Arkansas. The driver parked the truck out of the sight of workers at the job site in Little Rock on the 7th of July. At 6:25 PM CDT it was discovered and reported stolen to Redstone Operations Manager, Troy Robertson.
At 6:26 PM CDT, GPS AnyPlace was notified and they located the truck at 6:27 PM. It was parked in a private drive miles away from the site. After notifying the Saline County Sheriff's Office it was only a matter of minutes until the truck was recovered. I guess Redstone was happy that they chose the tracking and fleet management offered by GPS AnyPlace more than three years ago. Since then, they have the device installed in their cars, trucks and construction equipment.
Troy Robertson said that "After reviewing and testing several GPS products, we chose this solution due to its consistent operation, 24/7 support and all of the features that directly affect our bottom line, such as reducing our equipment down-time. Monitoring speeds, excessive idle times, miles driven, perimeter violations, knowing closest vehicle to a pick up location as well as maintenance alerts, sold us on this system. What’s really cool is how I can access my fleet even from my home or anywhere in the world that I travel."
All of that is possible thanks to GPS AnyPlace's BigBrother, that's a GPS based mobile asset tracking device. Equipped with a quad band GSM/GPRS transceiver with a high gain 12 parallel GPS receiver to ensure that the mobile asset is always virtually visible. Thanks to its compact size of only 16.2 x 8.2 x 3.8 cm it is easily covert installed. A neat feature is the custom virtual borders that alerts for vehicles entering or exiting a virtual fence or boundary, also know as a geofence. It can store up to 2000 events per day when in poor GSM coverage areas, that are automatically sent when GSM coverage gets back.
"This is another of many success stories we have participated in over the last 16 years of being a GPS tracking and fleet management company. We have successfully recovered cars, semi-trucks, boats, construction equipment and even a truck full of $200,000 worth of tires in Detroit for Belle Tire and Battery." said GPS AnyPlace owner Gary Ryan.
