Caddies are traditionally associated with golf, probably as much as golf clubs and bags are. However, the evolution of modern technology might actually render this “profession” obsolete, since the Stowamatic's new GT2 electric caddy doesn't really need a human operator in order to carry one's clubs around the golf course.

The direct successor to the company's Titanium GT electric trolley, the new GT2 model adds a new distance control function, intuitive twist and set controls, bright LED display and an upgraded 27 hole lead-acid battery, complete with cooling battery bag to prevent overheating and help improve performance.

The Stowamatic GT2 has been designed and built to provide golfers with a very good level of performance and ease of use. A simple folding mechanism means the GT2 is ready for use in seconds, while the specially designed Stowalock base provides extra secure bag-holding when used with the compatible Stowamatic bag, although the trolley will happily carry any brand of bag. The improved aluminium chassis keeps weight down, delivering enhanced performance and battery life.

The GT2 also packs a new LED Stowamatic Control Panel that allows golfers to set the trolley to proceed a certain distance before stopping (10m, 20m or 30m), or at a certain speed using the Intuitive Twist Control, and this information is clearly displayed on an easy-to-view screen. Moreover, the device also features detachable rear sport wheels and a fast 8-10 hrs battery recharge time.

“The Stowamatic Titanium GT was a resounding success and gave golfers incredible value for money,” says Simon Millington, Stowamatic CEO. "The GT2 builds on this with several superb new features and design improvements and clearly demonstrates that it's possible to make a high-performance golf trolley without it costing a fortune. By cutting out the middle man we are giving the golfer an outstanding new electric trolley at factory-direct prices, with the ease of ordering online and backed up by superb delivery options and customer service.”

The Stowamatic GT2 Electric Golf Trolley is actually a fairly affordable piece of equipment, selling for around 499.99 pounds sterling (716 US dollars).
