Day after day, I get less and less impressed by all these
mass produced bulk gadgets that are all alike. That's the reason why anything even just a tad different catches my interest, such as the Devotec Industries Solar Sound Bluetooth Speakers. They are very light and portable and still able to produce a deep rich bass and crisp clear highs.
Built-in Bluetooth allows users to easily connect them to any of the latest phones, including the iPhone (which you have to update to the iPhone 3.0 software version). Not every
Bluetooth-enabled phone is supported by these speakers, they also have to feature both the A2DP and the AVRCP profiles. For those incompatible, MP3 players or any portable music player sporting a 3.5mm headphone jack, the Solar Sound speakers provide a retractable cable.
For the likes of you that enjoy chatting non stop on the phone, there's even a built-in mic for hands free communication when paired with a compatible device. It’s a
green product as well, due to the large solar panel that will charge the internal battery whenever you're in sunny areas. No need to worry when it's cloudy, the 1500mAh Lithium-Ion battery will provide somewhere around eight hours of continuous play time at a medium volume and about four hours at the maximum.
Another feature also available for compatible phones only is the touch-screen panel for remote controlling fast forward, rewind and volume, of course. It comes in a bundled package with included protective case, AC/DC plug and charging cable. Charging times vary from four hours using the AC/USB cable all the way to 12 - 24 hours from the solar panel. Overall size is 16.5 x 5.5 x 5.5cm, at a weight of 260g.
All that for the small price of $82.15.
