If you're wondering what I'm bluffing about this time and thinking that's some sort of a tactical vest for navy seals, you're almost right, but far off, really. This is actually one of the products from TN Games exhibited, that is
showcased at the Entertainment Electronics Expo (E3), and it's the (probably long forgotten) 3RD Space vest, from the same company. Still, this is not the subject, as back then, there were not too many compatible games.
My point is that TN Games announced that it would demo the 3RD Space trigger at E3, a device set to enable the 3RD Space Vest to comply with gaming consoles, delivering customers a very physically immersive 3D gaming experience. I know you're already tired of hearing and reading immersive this and immersive that, but do mind that the 3RD Space Vest is actually made of air-filled compartments completely capable of simulating impacts of bullets or other weapons by taking advantage of digital control.
To make the vest
work with current gaming consoles, users will need to sum up three components, namely the trigger, a software driver and, of course, the vest (duh!). Connectivity-wise, delivering the trigger commands to the 3RD Space Vest can be done either wirelessly or even easier, via USB connection.
Thanks to the trigger, the 3RD Vest can now be fitted to console games, and offer one of the coolest (from my point of view) experiences. I mean, just imagine playing Counter Strike, or something newer that you should know about better. Want this? Expect to pay $189 for the Console Kit, or just buy the vest alone for $139, but that means you'll only play computer games.
