Let's say that you and your friends (all of whom can't live a day without surfing the web, checking your email account, etc.) are taking a trip to some remote mountain resort, but upon arriving there, you suddenly realize, much to your horror, that the only available Internet connection is one Ethernet port. So, what is there to do? How can all of you access that connection at the same time?

Well, this is exactly where the new TEW-654TR 300Mbps Wireless N Travel Router Kit comes in, since this device can easily take care of the aforementioned issue, due to the fact that it's so portable, it can be easily carried around pretty much anywhere. And by portable we mean 6.4 x 8.2 x 1.9cm, which are indeed some very low values.

"This high speed wireless n travel router is great for people on the go. The product's lightweight and ultra-compact design can fit into even the most over-stuffed luggage," stated Brian Chu, IT Director for TRENDnet, when talking about his company's latest product. "The router also provides multiple users with high speed access to a single Internet connection,” Mr. Chu added.

Although this tiny device might look like some sort of a toy, the truth of the matter is that it's no such thing. The device sports an LED display that communicates power and link status, a reset button, a power port and a 10/100Mbps Wide Area Network Ethernet port. The latest in wireless encryption protects valuable data, while advanced Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna technology delivers high speed wireless connectivity and broad coverage that minimizes dead spots.

Unfortunately, pricing and availability are still unknown, but given its features and sales package (carrying case, a thin 3-foot Ethernet cable, an electrical adapter and an alternate USB cable to power the router from a computer), don't expect this thing's price tag to be as diminutive as its size.
