Here's probably the most suitable solution for all the people that have to work in loud environments, where noise pollution is an issue and even for party goers that like to listen to the music, without getting home with their ears popping, or tame the lousy sound systems’ audio quality in some clubs. These are the SureFire EP-3 Sonic Defenders.

Aside from sight, we humans have the benefit of hearing that allows us to guide ourselves where we cannot see, or pay attention to things we're not looking at, and yet many people do no take care of this sense. NIHL, short for noise-induced hearing loss, is the cause of about 10 million Americans suffering from hearing loss, so come to think about it, that's nothing to joke about.

The SureFire EP-3 can definitely help, no matter what conditions you work in, or need to be present. The ear-plugs' design allows for safe 80dB sound pressure levels to pass through, but limit those above, because as you can see on the loudometer, volume levels above 80dB get riskier as they get higher. Nevertheless, we also chose to listen to such levels, relating the walkman at about 101 - 103dB.

The EP-3 have an ergonomic design, with a multi-flanged stem that smoothly conforms to ear shape for comfort and retention of the earpiece itself. Made of soft, hypoallergenic, medical-grade polymer, customers are sure not to have anything to worry about, while the low profile design enables them to keep the EP-3 in place even while wearing a mask, helmet, hat, as well as phone, headphones or supplementary hearing muffs.

If even more noise isolation is required, you can use the attached stoppers, by inserting them when one doesn't need to hear routine sounds or conversations. Considering the mere price of $12.95, I would get each of my friends a pair of these, if the manufacturer shipped outside the USA.
