It is probably because of the news about Apple selling 300,000 iPads during the gadgets' first day on the market that these
protective, carrying and all types of sleeves for the iPad keep showing up. Even Targus, which has a successful business providing quality laptop accessories to the world, has now introduced three iPad cases, expanding their famous series Hughes, Crave and A7.
"We are excited to offer new accessories for the highly anticipated iPad," said Edelmo Garcia, global product manager of soft goods at Targus. "Our strategy includes a diverse offering of styles and form factors, which incorporate a wide range of materials and features. Whether you are a chic urbanite or business sophisticate, there's a case to fit your needs, style and personality."
Though there are no pictures of the iPad cases on their website, I took the liberty of showing you one of the laptop sleeves from the Hughes
series, as it is probably very similar to the one built especially for the iPad, regarding exterior looks of course. The Hughes Leather Portfolio Slipcase is build out of premium leather with a soft twill inner lining. It will be available in black and brown versions, at a MSRP of $59.99, being also the most expensive case from these three. Look for the TES007US product code if you are interested. The Crave Slipcase for iPad, or TSS177US is made of a durable weather resistant material that will protect the iPad from scratches and stains. The MSRP given by Targus for this model is of $34.99.
This brings us to the A7 Neoprene Sleeve, which is the most affordable one here. It is also the sleeve which will be available in the widest array of colors, from which I am only going to tell you which ones you should avoid, namely plum and blue. The A7 Neoprene features Targus' Tri-Cell Cushion System which integrates layers of foam in order to protect your gadgets from bumps. Though this model of sleeve is not as “
sophisticated” as the others, it's price might be convincing to those looking for the TSS178US.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed.
