Similar to the Bracer Battery Life 2+, Thanko's Wristband Battery is now at its second version and offers its portability addicted users more compatibility options, so they can enjoy a wider array of gadgets for longer periods of time, while on the move. Unless you have an nPower PEG, there is nothing more comfortable than charging your portable devices from a lightweight wrist-mountable charger.

In case you don't know the first Thanko wrist charger, let me tell you that it only worked for portable gaming consoles like the Sony PlayStation Portable or the Nintendo DS, which made it a rather exclusive gimmick, designed especially for gamers. Now, the Wristband Battery supports a large number of devices, such as the iPhone and iPod, a big number of Japanese cellphones, all sorts of MIDs and all models of the DS console.

Unlike the previous model, this comes with a larger 1,500 mAh battery and the option to turn it off whenever you don't use it, with an obvious On/Off button. Its cable is retractable to up to 80 cm and will normally be 20 cm long. This is so you don't violently unplug your gadgets from it and eventually dropping them because of cable tension.

The way you can employ it with such a wide variety of devices now is via separate adapters, which you can take with you or leave at home, according to the technology you know you will be using on your trips. It may seem bulky as seen in the picture, but that is probably because the user is petite. The whole thing weighs just 80 grams, which, on your wrist, will not feel like a burden at all.

A full charge of its battery will take a little longer than expected, as Thanko says it needs four hours in order to get it all powered up. But the advantage is that, on other gadgets, the battery life will be increased by at least this time. Its interface is USB 2.0. Via Ubergizmo.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
