Believe it or not, one of the issues that
prison directors are confronted with every day is not hunger, not riots and no, not even lack of soap due to so many being dropped to never be found again. One of the main issues that prison directors confront with on a daily basis is cell phone trafficking. You know, when a prisoner manages to smuggle in a cell phone in order to call his favorite Hitman (Hello, Agent 47) and arrange a one-way trip for a certain witness to them
stealing the candy from a baby!
No, sir, we don't want that to happen. This is why Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. has decided to let loose the bloodhounds onto the unsuspecting masterminds whose minds took a long enough break for them to reach Sing Sing. But not any race of bloodhounds. I am referring to
the Bloodhound: a device that can virtually sniff out contraband cell phones in prisons or correctional facilities. Oh, and it looks cool too, if we don't take into account the pointy antenna that probably serves another purpose than to more easily perform cavity checks.
“The Bloodhound will affordably allow correctional facilities to enforce a no cell phone policy since each security officer could potentially be harnessed with a cell phone detector watchdog,” said Scott Schober, President and CEO of Berkeley Varitronics Systems. “We believe correctional facilities will come to depend on the Bloodhound to detect and confiscate the increasing number of contraband cell phones being smuggled in prisons that are not only used to threaten public safety, but also contribute to criminal activity. As a result, some prisoners may not agree all dogs are man's best friend.”
I can't tell you anything regarding its pricing but I am pretty sure that if you're interested in the device, you probably work in a place that has that kind of information ready for you to use.
