Since Nyko is specialized in gaming accessories and their calendars now indicate E3, a major event in the world of entertainment, they have decided to introduce the Charging Station Quad for
the Move PlayStation 3 controller. It is this time of the year when most
relevant gaming inventions show up on the market and probably Nyko waited until now deliberately to release a charging solution for a controller announced months ago.
If until now only the
Wii had charging stations for their controllers, the PlayStation 3 will soon have the same amount of dedicated accessories. So, while the first charging solution for these controllers was built by Sony and could host two Moves, this one from Nyko comes with double the charging capacity and a somewhat smoother design. There are no wires between this charger and the PS3, of course, and two Move motion Controllers with two Move Navigation Controllers can recharge at the same time.
There are independent LED indicators that will tell users when the control units are fully charged and ready for action and the whole thing is very compact in size. I find it peculiar that the manufacturers do not announce a charging time for the Moves, or at least an estimation of some sort, but at least they have a price for their Charge Station Quad. Just like the Sony dual recharger, Nyko's costs $29.99.
This new one seems like a more comfortable solution, not to mention that it also looks better. So, in case you have already purchased a Sony charging station, I'm sorry Nyko waited this long until they released their device. And I'd also like to tell you that more gadgets of this sort will keep showing up, so I think that unless charging your Moves is a pressing matter at the moment, the wait for the perfect solution is totally worth it.
