Since the Wii made its debut, third-party companies everywhere have made it their quest to produce the most useless Wiimotes and Nunchucks ever and sell them to the unknowing public. Such as the new Wii add-on kit from PEGA, especially made for people playing dart games on their favorite console. What could they make especially for that type of games? A “dart” shaped controller, of course.
No longer will you purposelessly throw your Wiimote into your TVs by accident, you will now do it to score more points. Or at least you could in theory... if the device weren't huge, that is. And by huge I mean, giant lawn-dart huge. So, for all you guys and girls who consider Wii dart games to be the best kind of entertainment ever invented, this device is for you. For all you other gamers out there, it might look like a pretty silly gadget and you won't be pretty far off.
You could probably save some money by just superglue-ing some wooden pieces to it and DIY-ing your own darts-mote. If you're really into paying a moderate fee for a useless device, this Wii accessory is just around 9.54 USD. With such bulky design, cheap aspect and a general DIY feel to it, I really think you must be a huge darts fan to pay for such a device.
I for one would rather play the classic way: in a bar with some friends, some beer and a board onto which you throw steel tipped weapons of immature fun. There is just no way to simulate real life, even though a lot of companies try and will keep on trying. Well, that's about it with the Wii darts. As usual, I leave you to be the judge and jury.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
