OK, you remember I wrote about the MSI gaming laptop earlier today, right? Wasn't that a sweet rig? I bet all gamers out there would love such a device. But not everyone is a gamer, not everyone wants to see Crysis in high-detail wherever they go. Perhaps you would like to watch a movie, listen to a cool tune and so on. What do you do... spend your money on a gaming laptop? No. You buy the EX723 from none other than MSI. Keep on reading for further details.

Well, it seems that the guys and gals down at MSI headquarters sat down one day and started talking, “OK we got the GT729 Gaming Laptop... we've got that sector covered... what next?” And the brightest of them stood up and said, “Let us make a multimedia machine so as to satisfy everyone.” And the EX723 was born. So, let’s look a bit under this baby's hood, shall we?

The EX723 has an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (figures), an Nvidia Geforce G110M graphics controller (512MB VRAM), 4GB of DDR2 memory, 4.1 speakers, a choice of SATA HDDs with sizes ranging from 160GBto 320GB, DVD or Blu-Ray optical drives and a 6- or 9-cell battery. LAN, Wireless and optional Bluetooth are all there, as well as HDMI, three USB 2.0 slots and E-SATA.

The EX723 has a 17-inch LCD display with a maximum resolution of 1440 x 900, features the MSI ECO engine power management system (office mode, movie mode, gaming mode, and so on), as well as MSIs exclusive VIVID LCD technology. In just one word: multimedia. Since pricing hasn't been specified either for this lappie or for the GT729, I can only guess that this baby will cost a bit less; otherwise, I have no idea why two were necessary.

You are familiar with the MSI design, so don't be surprised by the fact that you will not be the least surprised. If I could give it a theme, I would name it “MSI Boredom.”

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
