In times when cellular phones, MIDs, PDAs, or UMPCs were not attached to the human body, it is said that the inhabitants of Terra used to know the exact time by using a special device called a “watch.” Of course, there are people that haven't forgotten completely about it and that still use it today, wrapped around their wrists, with no special function except for letting them know what time it is. I haven't seen such people, but after laying my eyes on this very cool-looking watch, somehow my mobile phone doesn't seem all that interesting anymore.
Those of you that have some spare
wrist space will surely agree that the looks of this “time-machine” themed wrist-watch are truly amazing. The visible mechanism works the same way that Earth revolves around the Sun. The Geocentric watch's wheels are in constant motion, making you the center of attention in the middle of a crowd full of thieves. Don't worry, chicks will dig that too.
Geoffrey Cooper, the artist who created it, was very inspired when designing this cool watch. By the looks of it, it targets both men and women, while the passage of minutes and hours is shown via the motion of the rings around the face of the watch. Unfortunately, it is not in production stage so far. Being solely a design, you can only stare at the photos and picture it working. We will let you know when it becomes available.
Although watches today have started to have the
specs of a 90's mobile phone, it is these designer models that really preserve the memory of the hand-worn time tellers. If you really want to be different from the rest of the herd, no
GPS, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth watch will do that for you. Original and simple designs such as the Geocentric's will always blow your mind.
