Just so I don't leave you with a dry mouth today, here is a watch designed by Grieb & Benzinger that is going to make your mouth water, whether you are a passionate gadgeteer or not. The barebone design of this watch shows all the pieces working in sync all the time, for whenever you want to admire them.
The horological masterpiece right here is created specially for watch connoisseurs and very rich people, since it is a limited edition watch. Benzinger is known for its exclusive designs and this time he has made no exception with this skeletonized timepiece. This watch doesn't even have a dial so that users can see the whole mechanism in detailed action. The producer installed, however, a manual calibrator so that you can adjust it whenever you feel like looking at the intricate details.
Why does it cost $32,000 USD, you might ask? Well, I can answer that question for you with the details regarding the materials used in building it. The case, for example, is built from solid 18-karat white gold, in Germany. The bezel is set with Top Wesselton diamonds (VVSI) and its sides carry sapphire crystals. The watch has an oignon-style crown and screwed-in straps lugs and, upon request, some parts can be built from stainless steel. Speaking of steel, its flame-blued Breguet-style hands are also made out of steel.
This watch is completely skeletonized, engraved and guilloche by hand with flame-blued screws. In order for the complete package to be unique, the belt of this watch has also been hand-sewn. It is made out of shiny alligator skin with white gold buckles. You can learn more about this new and unique Grieb & Benzinger watch from Bornrich or by watching the movie after the break.
