Of course, we all love our state-of-the art expensive gadgets; however, we have never considered kissing them until now. The Kiss Phone offers a more intimate approach to technology, if I am allowed to call it so. It has been designed by French freelance inventor Georges Koussouros, the one behind PROinvention, and it is only a concept at this point.
If you have ever felt that interacting with voice, text or video doesn't come even close to the real face-to-face thing, you might want to try this new device. The Kiss Phone has been especially designed for remote kissing, featuring a special surface that you are supposed to kiss, in order to transmit it to the person at the end of the line, be that your boyfriend, girlfriend, mother or even your boss, when you really screwed up.
The phone subsequently measures percussion speed, pressure, temperature and sucking force, when you kiss it. But don't get too excited, no French kissing is available yet. Anyway, a big plastic mouth on the receptor's Kiss Phone reproduces your unique kiss parameters to the person far away.
The nice things about it are that the inventor intends to make it possible to leave or receive a kiss in the answering machine, repeat the kiss saved on the phone memory, download and upload kisses or even receive kisses from a “kiss bank” (from stars, for instance).
Although it can become a fun and somehow useful little gadget for lovers separated by long distances, I personally find it hard to believe a man will ever accept using this. It not only the idea that some may consider you insane when kissing that in public, but the design is very girlish-like. Besides a pair of pink glossy lips, the Kiss Phone features some really loud colored heart-shaped keys and an overall smooth and shiny surface. Add in some hygienic concerns and you will too reach the conclusion that the device won't probably make it pretty soon to mass production.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is
