Griffin Technology, the company
specialized in bringing to market that all essential iPhone and iPad
accessories, has now developed a revolutionary device, called the
PartyDock, that enables you to hold multiplayer gaming sessions on
your iPhone or iPad device.
The device, is in theory, simple enough
since all you have to do is place your iPhone in the
docking station
and then enjoy multiplayer gaming thanks to the four
wireless remotes
included.
And since four people trying to
distinguish something on that small iPhone screen would certainly be
a dealbreaker, Griffin has also added a video out option so you can
connect the PartyDock to your
widescreen HDTV via component or
composite out.
Although this sounds really nice, the
PartyDock can only be used together with compatible games, the list
being pretty small at this time since there are only three free mini games available, all
developed by Griffin, called Midway Motors, Fishing Frenzy and
Flippin’ Frogs.
Right now, is still uncertain if other publishers
will start to develop compatible PartyDock titles, but Griffin is
determined to release more games in the
App Store.
Apart from multiplayer gaming, the
PartyDock can also be used to control music and video playback as
well as picture viewing and is compatible with the iPad too.
Since this just made its appearance on
FCC's list, pricing and availability are still unknown. (via
