Babies need constant attention and in the busy times we live in, parenting must not be the second job. This is where technology comes to the rescue, as usual, with solutions that allow busy parents to take care of all their work, while also keeping an eye out on their offspring. This gadget right here is a monitoring system with a lot of specs, very useful, I might add, but with only two customer reviews, making it sound like a 50-50 deal.

The Prism Color Video Monitor works with Wi-Fi technology, the 2.4 GHz protocol to be more precise, in order to keep your baby in sight at all times under your watchful and caring eye. The range it works in is of 350 feet, which might be a problem if there are other wireless cameras, not to mention VoIP phones being used regularly in the area you live in. The interferences could be so great that you might not be able to use this baby monitoring system at all.

It has an auto channel selector, for easy installation and the fact that it supports multiple cameras might come in handy if you need multiple rooms or, why not, even different angles, kept under surveillance. The Prism Color Video Monitor keeps you informed if it is out of working range and if its battery is low, via a dedicated LED.

Like I've already said in the beginning of this material, this baby surveillance system is full of useful features, like the remote zooming in and out, voice activation, special sound activated alarm and controls for the volume and brightness. Its camera also has night vision.

The two user reviews on the Buybuybaby website contradict one another, because one says that it worked perfectly and the other considers the device not worth the #219.99 price. The nay-sayer accuses static filled blurry images, but this could have been caused simply by interferences with other similar apparatus. Feel free to let us know whether it is worth it or not, because “on paper,” this device looks promising.
