Have you ever noticed how hard it is to keep your USB flash stick clean? I'm talking about the files on it. Always dumping everything in the root folder, drag and drop and drag and drop. If you keep files that you need for work as well, it all becomes a jam. We are so messy that we can't even handle a four-gigabyte flash drive. Nevertheless, it's not quite safe, nor polite to keep personal files among those that you present to clients or co-workers, and why bother carrying two
USB drives?
Stop worrying. You're safe now. The split stick is here. Basically, it is comprised of just two, two-gigabyte retractable USB drives that are joined in one slim, four-gigabyte, stick. It is encased in an anodized aluminum body and covered in a protective rubber membrane. Anodizing the device can be done in a large variation of colors such as orange, blue, pink, red, black, violet, gray or green.
In the middle of its body, the Split Stick sports a plastic button that easily allows you to navigate between the two different sides of the flash. The Split Stick is currently in development, but you can commit for a purchase online. Mind that your money will be taken only when the
USB stick is ready for shipping and not a day before.
All that and I haven't told you the best part yet, and no, it's not some surprise color palette. Once it hits the threshold and begins shipping the units, the manufacturer will allow customers to have each side of the split stick personalized with their own choice of vector-like graphics or text. I'm saying vector-like because, even though it will be laser etching, don't expect them to be able to print your girlfriend's picture on one side.
You can pre-order it online for the price of $19.99.
