Since Windows Phone 7 is not that far away from being launched, more and more devices running this operating system are leaked online, the latest being the Samsung GT-i8700, a phone that we don't know much about apart from what can be distinguished from the two pictures leaked.
Sent by an annonymus source to
Gizmodo, the pictures don't reveal too many details about this headset, since we only have an “about” screen shot to go by, together with a picture showing the back of the phone.
Although not as revealing as the
Asus Windows Phone 7 smartphone we reported just a few hours ago, we can make up a few things from this images such as the backside mounted camera that also comes with an LED flashlight and the 8GB of storage space listed in the about screen.
The
Windows Phone 7 minimum requirements also state that a Cortex or Scorpion (the application CPU inside the Snapdragon chip) processor is required together with at least 256MB of RAM, so the i8700 has to fulfill those requirements.
Microsoft's mobile OS also calls for a WVGA, 480x800 screen resolution, and a capacitive touchscreen capable of sensing at least 4 contact points, so it's safe to say these are also among the hardware specifications.
However, at this point, is really hard to say more about this smartphone, but one thing is certain: Windows Phone 7 is getting closer to be launched and
Samsung may just as well be one of the first manufacturers to get their offering out.
