Not that many Windows 7 running tablets have managed to capture my attention, but this 11.6 inch bModo12 slate certainly seems to do the trick, although I am pretty sure this is actually a ExoPC in disguise since these two look remarkably alike.
And, as far as I am concerned, that wouldn't be such a huge surprise since ExoPC's tablet has already proven itself to be one of the most popular Windows 7 running slates to be introduced,
two other retailers just announcing such solutions under their own name.
Anyway, moving on to the hardware department, the bModo12 comes with a 11.6-inch 1366x768 capacitive touchscreen, a 1.66 GHz Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 32GB solid state drive, GMA 500 integrated graphics as well as a discrete 1080p video accelerator (I am willing to bet this is a Crystal HD chip) to enable Full HD playback via its integrated mini-HDMI port.
A 1.3 megapixel camera and GPS sensor are also included as well as HSPA 7.2 Mbps, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity.
A 4800 mAh battery completes the specs list, bModo saying this is able to power the 990 grams
slate for up to 5 hours, although the Californian startup doesn't state how did they end up with this number.
Bmodo says its tablet will soon be available for pre-order at a $699 price point, shipments being expected by Christmas. (via
