Released just a few weeks ago, Nvidia's mainstream, Fermi based, mobile graphics solutions seem to make their way into more and more notebooks these days, Toshiba being the latest company to upgrade one of their offerings, in this case the Qosmio X500, with this new mobile GPUs.
Opting for a
GTX 460M graphics card that comes with 192 processor cores and 1.5GB of dedicated memory, Toshiba's 18.4 inch, 3D capable gaming notebook is available with Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors, up to 8GB of RAM, dual-configuration 7200RPM HDD and solid state drive options as well as Harman Kardon speakers and Dolby Home Theater audio.
Other features include a backlit keyboard, one eSATA/USB Combo port, IEEE 1394 and a 5-in-1 media card reader, a Blu-ray drive being also available as an option.
I am also happy to report that users can choose from two high resolution display panels, coming in at 1680x945 and 1920x1080 pixels, both using an 16:9 aspect ratio.

However, all these impressive specs won't come cheaply since the Qosmio X500 will start at $1,299.99, when it will become available September 26.
