Nowadays, fashion time pieces are encrusted with all sorts of precious gems and built from exotic materials from the strap to the interior mechanisms, while Kenneth Cole's new touch screen watches are only encrusted with... technology. This is why these new watches are probably not going to make it out there in the glamorous world of fashion. However, Kenneth Cole insists on marketing them as “the first fashion-forward touch screen watches.”

Maintaining one of the best structural elements seen in watches until today, the manufacturers have placed all the technology they need in order to function inside a stainless steel case. This would also be one part of the watch that changes color. Almost forgot to tell you, Kenneth Cole has them in a wide variety of models.

Another component, which will differ in color is the strap of the touchscreen watches. This type of time piece can even be found in bright orange, which I'd say looks quite unfashionable. So, besides the case and strap, the design will not change one bit, but expect them to have different prices though. For instance, the model carrying the orange strap will cost $150 and the one pictured here carries the lowest price of the series, $125. The most expensive models are valued at $175.

No word about them coming with a stylus, very much required whenever needing to manipulate their touch controls and the lauded abilities of these watches will probably make you yawn. They have alarm clocks, see, I told you, they are water resistant to an unknown depth and have count up and count down timers. They will also be viewable in dark environments thanks to their being backlight. Oh, and let's not forget about their ability to tell users the time in 32 cities around the world.
