As you will certainly remember, one of the most important announcements by Apple last week was the company's first desktop-oriented multi-touch input solution, the Trackpad. And even if this thing has not been
designed to be moved around a lot, it seems that the people over at WaterField Designs haven't wasted any time in coming up with a couple of accessories desgined specifically for it, namely the Trackpad Slip and Trackpad Socket cases.
The Trackpad Socket is a simple, padded, custom-fitting pouch that provides scratch-free Magic Trackpad protection from other bag contents. The Socket is only available in black.
The Trackpad Slip, on the other hand, offers
protection in a slim ballistic nylon case with a soft, lightly padded liner. The Apple Magic Trackpad slips easily into the custom-fitted, snug case where it stays securely in place. Six trim choices allow users to add a splash of color and/or to coordinate their case with other WaterField Designs gear.
"The Trackpad, like other gadgets, needs protection while in transit so that it
does not get scratched or broken," explained, Gary Waterfield, "Our cases prevent the occasional ding, scratch or spill you get when you put it in a backpack or purse along with other gear."
Pricing for these new Trackpad accessories is fairly accessible, since we're talking about roughly 12 US dollars for the Trackpad Socket and around 25 US dollars for the Trackpad Slip.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
