For those of you that are obsessed with the provenience of your hardware, Transcend is building now SSDs that have their case marked with a 100% anti-counterfeit Transcend logo security hologram and temper evident seals. Now, this is great news, who here worries about that stuff these days, when everything is manufactured in third-world countries, really.

Well, people who use the external portable storage for important or maybe classified data. Companies also care if they are using a certified component on which they can rely and do not want to risk losing important data to the competition. Also stylish, the new cases are going to look good thanks to the high-gloss finish that Transcend has applied to them. You will also find distinguished patterns according to each type of SSD.

The Ultra Series SATA SSDs have intricate diamond pattern panels, while the standard SATA SSD versions have pure black panels. The IDE models are a little different, with some square patterns on their front panels. The materials used in the making of the new SSD cases are a superior, higher-quality plastic supposed to last longer. Maybe they should have used some aluminum or other material just to be sure, if you ask me. Although probably specially treated, the feel of plastic is still there and some might not find it that high-end.

Yet another genuine Transcend product that is really a more corporate solution for those companies that have increased profits and can afford equipping their systems with the best out there. Or maybe everybody can afford such a device for external storage. I really can't tell you as Transcend doesn't communicate any information about pricing and availability. I am sure that they will let you know these details if you insist.
