My math teacher once told us that he would teach us mathematics so well that we would be able to answer all his questions even if abruptly awakened from deep sleep. Fortunately for some, they did manage to learn math as well as he said, which is why those ex-colleagues might consider a clock like this one right here, which will be giving you simple equations to solve, in order to stop its alarm from ringing. I for one prefer to have a snooze button nearby.

Though the producers say the Twist Alarm Clock exists in order for its users to start using their brain as soon as they wake up, I personally don't believe it. A properly working brain tells you if you need or don't need anymore sleep. As for the amount of work your brain has to do to solve this clock's equations, it is not that much, really. I bet anyone could do them in their sleep.

The more challenging part involves having to twist the clock in the right position, so that you complete that morning's exercise and all this while it rings in your ears. This feature might make it the perfect waking up solution. Other than that, this clock made by D-Forme doesn't really have any special functions.

It could make for a good prank though, if you replaced it with a friend's clock after they fall asleep, so when they wake up, you'll be able to see how much work their brain is willing to do in order to stop the alarm. This would be particularly funny if you happen to have any “slow” friends. Unfortunately, for those of you that are interested in this math-riddled clock, it only retails in Japan. The price is of $30 and you can see more pictures with the Twist Alarm Clock on Crunchgear.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
