For some reason (typically, marketing-related), some of the biggest names on the CE market prefer to come up with a whole new brand name for certain product categories instead of releasing them under their own names. That's also the case with Logitech, which created the Ultimate Ears brand in order to sell some of the most advanced headphones and earphones available on the market.

The latest arrival in this series is represented by the Ultimate Ears 700 noise-isolating earphones, which use a custom-tuned dual-armature microdesign that delivers highly accurate sound reproduction in a compact design (each earphone is smaller than a dime). This custom-tuned dual-armature layout separates the broad frequency response – 10 Hz to 16.5 kHz – into two high-fidelity channels per ear.

Furthermore, the Ultimate Ears 700 earphones include an assortment of ear cushions, users being able to choose between small, medium and large soft-silicone ear cushions or use the included Comply foam cushions for optimum comfort, fit and seal. The custom fit provides passive noise-isolation of up to 26 dB, allowing one to get fully immersed in the music while ignoring the outside world.

For traveling convenience, the Ultimate Ears 700 earphones also come with a pocket-ready hard case. At just 11.6 grams, the earphones are light enough to be worn whether the user is relaxing, riding the bus to work, or going for a jog. And thanks to its compact and comfortable design, one will experience less ear fatigue.

Despite being quite attractive, the Ultimate Ears 700 noise-isolating earphones are fairly expensive, selling for somewhere in the vicinity of 230 US dollars when they arrive in stores over the course of April. Sure, that might seem like a fairly high sum, but if you want to enjoy the same audio quality as the guys over at The Killers, Green Day or Fall Out Boy do, then you'll have to cough up the premium.
