Despite the fact that the first thing that comes to pretty much anyone's mind when hearing the word “eyewear” is the image of the classic reading glasses, the truth of the matter is that there are a lot of other areas where various eyewear products can find good uses, including here certain difficult work environments. And this is exactly the segment targeted by the latest model from Sperian, namely the Uvex Seismic Sealed Safety Eyewear, which delivers comfort and high performance protection against impact, Sun, wind, dust, and debris.
The Uvex Seismic sealed eyewear offers wearers a contemporary, flexible design with a range of comfort and adjustability features for all-day wear. Soft nose pads conform to a variety of facial profiles and minimize slippage, while the high-quality foam sub-frame provides cushioning and protection from fine particles.
Plus, padded temple tips deliver behind-the-ear comfort, while the flame-resistant headband adjusts for an excellent fit. For protection in a variety of environments, lenses are available in Clear, Amber, Espresso, and SCT-Reflect 50 tints with Uvextra AF anti-fog, Hardcoat anti-scratch or Dura-streme dual coating technology options.
The Dura-streme combines the company's Uvextreme anti-fog on the interior and Ultra-dura anti-scratch on the exterior, for durable anti-fog performance and added chemical resistance. The Uvex Seismic sealed eyewear is available in popular black and contemporary metallic blue frame colors.
“We designed Uvex Seismic eyewear to address the challenges faced by workers in environments where high levels of dirt, dust and other airborne particulates is common,” said David Iannelli, Senior Product Manager for the Uvex brand. “Because Uvex Seismic eyewear offers high levels of protection from dirt and fine particles, it is particularly well-suited for industries such as oil and gas, energy generation and heavy manufacturing.”
For the time being, no pricing information regarding the Uvex Seismic eyewear has been provided, but we hope that we'll find out more on this issue in the near future.
