HDTV's
tend to get a lot smarter as time goes by so VIZIO's top of the line
XVT series was bound to get overhauled, the new models offering an
impressive feature set that more then justifies their high price
tags.
Offering
five new models that range from 32” to 55”, all VIZIO XVT models
feature
LED backlit screens with smart dimming, the TruLED models
offering up to 160 dimming zones for an improved contrast ratio.
Thanks
to this technology, VIZIO can boast a contrast rate of up to
10,000,000:1 while the Razor series gives up the high contrast rate
in favor of a much slimmer profile, less then two inches deep.
All
the units have
wireless dual band 802.11n connectivity, TruSurround HD sound
technology and at least four HDMI inputs (the TruLED series having
five).
VIZIO's
HDTVs also get the unique Bluetooth remote control with QWERTY
keyboard that seems like such a nice bit of kit to play around with,
especially considering that these are Internet Apps enabled TVs.
"VIZIO's
2010 XVT lineup offers our customers a choice.
For
the customer seeking the very best in technology, we deliver a better
picture at an extraordinary value that is as much as one-third less
than the competition.
And
for the customer seeking the thinnest profile, we also have products
offering the best in style and fashion,” said VIZIO's VP and
Co-founder Laynie Newsome.
Pricing
wise, Visio's newest line ranges from $699 for the 32” XVT323SV
Razor LED to $2,199 for the top of the line 55” XVT553SV TruLED,
pretty decent prices considering all the features available.
