As some of you will certainly remember, back in July, Verbatim showcased some brand-new, racing-inspired external HDDs, these portable storage solutions proving to be interesting enough to be worth some company, as the company has just introduced a couple of USB flash drives in the GT USB Drive family.
The two flash
drives are available in red and black (plus the already trademark stripes of Verbatim's GT family), while also being extremely portable, as they measure just around 54mm in length, 21mm in width and 9.22mm in depth, tipping the scales at a minute 7.9g.
Unfortunately, we're talking about entry-level products here, because they provide a maximum storage capacity of 4GB, while being restricted to USB 2.0 speeds (no
USB 3.0, sadly).
The GT USB Drives sport a sliding mechanism, so there's no need for a separate cap, while they're guaranteed to work with just about every operating system out there, namely Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS 9 or higher, LINUX 2.4.0 or higher.
Luckily, Verbatim was considerate enough to price these things at a very decent level, the 4GB GT USB Drives selling for around 8 pounds sterling (13 US dollars), which should make them quite affordable for all the racing fans out there.
