I am truly sorry to disappoint you, my friends, but these actually are Verbatim's latest colorful 2.5-inch sized 500GB external hard drives.

Whether you want to get a Sun Kissed Yellow, Eucalyptus Green, Hot Pink, Caribbean Blue or Volcanic Orange doesn't matter much, because you will be absolutely delighted by their... unexpected visual style. I have to admit it has been a while since I used anything with Verbatim's name in it but judging by the way these external hard discs look, I might be persuaded to give them a shot. They are around 161 grams in weight (roughly the same as your average smartphone) and have a speed of 5400 RPM with transmission speeds of up to 480MB.

Each connects via USB, and no external power is required. Though I like it when my external hard drives are externally powered, it takes the extra load off the power supply.
