Verbatim, a company that is mostly known for its storage solutions delivered over the last 40 years, announced today a new product, specifically tailored to meet the requirements of laptop users. This fresh product is the Color Nano Wireless Notebook Mouse with support for both Windows and Mac users. Featuring a small and easy to carry around form factor, the wireless mouse from Verbatim will try to compete with similar products from the likes of Logitech or Microsoft.
“As with the new netbooks that have emerged, our Color Nano Mice enable mobile users to meet their computing needs in a space-saving way,” explained Ron Hanafin, Verbatim Product Marketing Manager. “They have the reliability and performance of the Verbatim brand, while also giving people the flexibility to use color to personalize their computing lifestyle.”
Designed to be easily integrated with any portable PC on the market, the fresh Color Nano Wireless Notebook mouse from Verbatim is featured with a 2.4GHz Nano receiver that easily integrates with your laptop's sleek design. In addition, the receiver can easily be inserted in the bottom part of the mouse so it cannot be lost when traveling with your laptop.
Available in red, green, purple, yellow, pink, blue, and graphite, the mouse is said to boast a comfortable design that features a rubberized grip and provides comfort for both right- and left-handed users. To further sweeten the offer, the mouse has been fitted with a programmable roller button that can be used to assign different features for easier and faster access.
According to the company, the new wireless mouse will be available trough its retail and distribution channels featuring driver support for Windows XP, 2000 and Vista systems, as well as Mac OS 10.4.X. Price-wise, you are looking at a US$29.99 notebook wireless mouse that comes with its own set of two AAA batteries.
