It hasn't passed that much time since ViewSonic released their ViewPad 7 Android running tablet, but the company is set to make it big in this market, since it has just showcased the all new G Tablet that comes in with an 10 display, Tegra 2 and Android 2.2.
Although this looks pretty similar to the ViewPad released over at IFA, don't mistake the two, since the G Tablet comes with a far more powerful hardware platform while also packing a 10 inch 1024x600 capacitive touchscreen and 10 hours of battery life.
Apart from the Nvidia Tegra 2 chip and
Android 2.2 OS, the G Tablet also comes with HDMI, USB, 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity while also getting 16GB of storage space and a 1.3MP front-facing camera.
A 3G modem is also available as an option while the storage space can be upgraded via a microSD memory card.
Although every thing sounds really good until now, there are a few thing that I am not so crazy about such as the glossy screen that should make this really tough to use outdoors and the lack of Android Market since this
tablet is not Google certified.
Pricing wise, the G Tablet will be available starting from October for about $529 making this a really attractive offer if you can pass over that glossy display. (via
