We've seen plenty of new projection solutions being rolled onto the market over the past couple of days (after all, this is CEDIA time, so such an abundance of projectors shouldn't come as a surprise), and it seems that Vivitek also wants to bring forth some novelties, namely the H9030FD LED extreme short-throw and the D8300 large-venue crossover projectors, that come to compliment the company's already existing (and quite serious) lineup of such solutions.

The first model presented by Vivitek, the H9030FD, is a LED-lamp based projector with estimated 20,000 hours of lamp life that delivers a native 1080p (1920x1080) resolution and 50,000:1 Contrast Ratio at 1000 ANSI Lumens, with the help of the DLP and BrilliantColor technologies from Texas Instruments.

The various connectivity options include HDMI v1.3 (3x), VGA-in, Composite video, S-video, Component video, the device also being 3D ready.

The D8300, on the other hand, features native 1080p (1920x1080) resolution, 6500 Lumens and 2000:1 Contrast Ratio, as well as DLP and BrilliantColor technologies from Texas Instruments and advanced image processing from Gennum.

Connectivity options include HDMI v1.3 (2x), BNC, Component and Composite video, S-video and RS-232c, and the device also delivers built-in 1.3x zoom with manual lens shift (+/-120% vertical and +/-30% horizontal).

“Vivitek has a complete line of 1080p-based home theater and large venue models for the custom installation market,” said Christopher Yang, senior product manager at Vivitek.

“We know that picture quality, performance and even versatility are key factors for home theater enthusiasts.

Our family of projectors incorporates the latest color and video processing technologies to ensure unsurpassed images on a big screen,” Mr. Yang concluded.

Unfortunately, we won't be seeing either of these new projectors for almost a year, since they're slated to hit the shelves in Summer 2011 (the H9030FD) and Fall 2011, respectively (the D8300), with pricing being yet unknown.
