It would seem that more and more people are going for
custom-made USB flash drives rather than the stock ones simply because this allows them to stand out from the crowd, at the same time enjoying the same level of versatility and usefulness provided by most such products. Of course, since we're talking about custom-made devices, the exterior design is what really makes them stand out, so this is where a designer's/artist's creativity makes the difference.
In fact, this is the case with the product we'll talk about as follows, namely the Wall-E USB
flash drive, presented by user
Sgedra from the already famous Etsy website, where various home artists can showcase and sell their products.
I believe that the name is pretty much self-explanatory in the case of this flash drive, which is inspired by the famous animated movie starring the tiny garbage-compacting robot Wall-E. As a matter of fact, Sgedra used a Wall-E model for the exterior body of the device, but instead of holding either Eve or some garbage, the model holds tight to some fire extinguisher.
The tiny flash drive incorporates an 8GB
NAND module, which is a pretty mainstream value for storage devices nowadays. Moreover, the gadget comes “equipped” with a keyring, making it easier for users to attach it to their keychain, backpack or whatever you might think of.
Unfortunately, for the time being, the item is sold out on Etsy, so no pricing details are available. However, by taking a look at the other products provided by the same vendor/designer, we can assume that the Wall-E USB flash drive will most likely sell for somewhere in the vicinity of 60 US dollars, plus an extra 5 to 7 US dollars for shipping costs.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is
