It has been many days (I think) since I last wrote about a watch, but this is probably the first one I tell you about that features an HD Camera. The one you can see to your left is the culprit, which
is claimed to be a smart diver-like watch, packing a built-in (it would have been a little odd to pack a built-out) high definition camera for capturing still color pictures or CCTV footage in color, with sound, or just sound for voice memos.
Speaking of memos, the watch even has a feature for customers to imprint time and date on video recordings. Water and dust resistant, this has quite a decent design, as in, it will surely not stand out, but also won't go unnoticed. As for the camera integration, it takes one a while and close inspection to figure out that this watch sports still image capturing capabilities, since the lens smoothly blends between the hands.
Now, let us get technical a little, and see what this is really capable of, starting with the impressive still photo size of 3,264 x 2,448 pixels, which is sure close to my digital SLR camera. The video resolution, on the other hand, is actually higher than 720p HD, at 1,280 x 960 with an excellent frame rate of 30 fps.
All of that, from a 2.0 Megapixel camera, outputting images in JPG format and videos in AV1 with M-JPEG encoding, whereas storage is done on the built-in nand flash in extent of 2GB.
Operating it is as simple as looking at the watch - there's a three-image series captured every time one presses the appropriate button. With a battery life time of 70 to 90 minutes, the watch can be charged from the 110-240v power supply. Pricing is quite high, at $524.10.
