I am sure you have seen these artificial goat-like legs in previous MTV Awards shows, or in movies. If you haven't seen them, it is probably because they were hidden under certain coatings, which resembled animal fur. Yes, sorry that you have to find out this way, but centaurs don't really exist. And neither does Santa Claus, while we're at it.
As a matter of fact, you can purchase these legs for yourself, from the Weta Workshop website. They are the ones producing them, with Kim Graham being the person directly responsible for their development. I am not sure if the ones I have seen being used by stunt men and women were exactly like the ones Weta sells now, but these seem to be quite cool as well, allowing you to perform regular movements without tedious training.
I have included here the instructional video that should be very helpful for wannabe stunt men, not to mention for the extreme sports fans who will probably try and invent a new sport with the Weta Legs. They don't seem that easy to apply, if you ask me, unless Mrs. Graham is always there to help you use them.
The impressive part about the Weta Legs is that every pair is manufactured by hand and that they promise a natural feel when walking or doing other activities you would normally perform with your own legs. On the official website, you will be able to see the guy beta testing the legs jump with them, walk on hill slopes, jump on one foot and more, without looking like he’s making an effort.
Before you get all enthusiastic about the Weta Legs, I recommend you read all the instructions and ordering information about them, as they are not a toy.
