Simply because the USB 3.0 technology is already available out there teasing us with its high price, some of you might not want to tie yourselves even more to the old USB 2.0 tech. So, I guess the appearance of a new USB 2.0 hub is not that interesting to some users out there who already want to switch to faster data transfer speeds.

But in case you are in desperate need of some extra ports and you know you have a long waiting period ahead until you reach the newer “SuperSpeeds,” here is a new model of USB hub that puts 10 ports at your disposal. It is made by Winstars and is now available on their web shop under the WS-UH2010 codename. As you would normally expect from USB technology, this is a plug a play device with no required installation whatsoever and will automatically run at the maximum speeds of the gadgets connected to it. The maximum speeds of USB 2.0 technology is of 480 Mbps.

The 10-port USB hub from Winstars comes with its very own 5V power adapter as well, and there are two coloring options available, namely silver and the black one pictured here.

These hubs have become a must-have accessory to any computer or home entertainment center as the majority of gadgets offer USB 2.0 connectivity, exceptions being some mobile phones manufactured by companies that insist on giving their gadgets proprietary jacks. Almost everything else including essential computer peripherals are able to connect via USB.

By now, you don't have to be an avid computer user so that you have all the USB 2.0 ports on your computer chassis occupied, that is, of course, unless you have a versatile gaming enclosure of some sort, which usually comes with more than 4/6 ports of this type. The Chinese at Winstars do not reveal pricing details for their USB2.0 10-Port HUB with Power Adapter on their website.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
