Buying wireless devices, either for work or for fun, is slowly but surely changing from being a fad or expensive fancy, to a practical adaptation process to the technical progress Homo Gadgetus has made these last years. So, maybe you shouldn't shake your head when you hear about another wireless printer being launched, because let me tell you my friend, cables and wires are starting to become such a cliche.
Samsung has recently launched a trio of such products with some pretty impressive specs. The Samsung CLX-3175FW model is a color laser 4-in-1 printer (wireless, of course) which allows users to print, copy, scan and fax, all in one swoop. It's also quite pleasing to the eye, with an elegant design and a matte-black color which would make any office look more professional. The high-speed USB 2.0 and Ethernet functions add the finishing touches to its technical portrait.
The Samsung ML-1630W has a highly compact design, making it one of the world's smallest in the network-ready laser printer category. Its
design has that high-class feeling as well, but in a cool way, not in, you know, a snobbish way. The color is glossy piano black and no buttons pierce its smooth curves. Instead, you have soft-touch sensor panels. The LEDs glow a discreet blue and, when working, this small machine practically purrs at a noise level of no more than 45dBA.
The SCX-4500W has a super-compact design as well and comes close to being one of the smallest wireless laser multifunction printers currently available. Its laser printouts are crisp and smudge-free and the scanner resolution goes as high as 4,800 x 4,800 dpi. Featuring a 360MHz processor and 64MB memory, the SCX-4500W is smarter and faster than the average printer.
Unfortunately, these Samsung goodies come at a price and you're the one who has to pay it if you want to get your hands on one of these wireless printers: $642.99 for the CLX-3175FW, $285.99 for the ML-1630W and $428.99 for the SCX-4500W.
