Since Microsoft seems to have really hit the jackpot with the new, slimmer Xbox 360 wireless controller released back at E3, it was about time to do something about the Wireless Controller as well, and sure enough, they did, as the company has just unveiled a redesigned controller featuring a transforming D-pad, as well as some other interesting novelties on the side.
So, the new wireless controller comes equipped with a D-pad that can be rotated to adapt to the user's gameplay.
According to Microsoft, gamers will be able to use the D-pad in "plus" format for cardinal directional moves and in "disc" format for sweeping moves, the change between the two positions being carried out in a very fast and easy manner, with a simple twist of the wrist.
In addition to the new d-pad, the matte silver controller also features concave analog sticks and gray A,B,X,Y buttons for added style.
Also, the new controller includes a Play and Charge cable for continuous gameplay and up to 35 hours of play per charge, as well as 2.4GHz wireless technology with 30-foot range.
The controller will only be available with the new Play & Charge Kit that will launch on November 9th for US $64.99, which is a pretty sweet deal, all things considered.
