The Transformers series is, of course, one of tech-geeks' all time favorite and we are all waiting for the sequel. While some of us are waiting in silence, taking an occasional peek on the official site for news regarding this matter, others are actually doing something about their passion for the series.

What exactly are Transformers fans doing to show their loyalty to Optimus Prime and his friends? They are modding consoles to look like the “gadget” that started the whole war between the alien robots. The Xbox 360 is the game console I am talking about and Flickr user givintats is the modder. He modded the Xbox into an All Spark replica from just a common plywood box and some clay, adding the final touch with chrome.

A rather simple procedure, but of great effect. Speaking of effects, givinants seems to have added some LEDs inside the box for lighting. While playing by night, it will look like in the picture below, which is actually pretty cool. Especially if you think about the way it originally looked. This guy made it look All Spark by adding alien patterns and writings on the self-hardening clay. The alien gibberish doesn't really mean anything to the human mind, but to the eye of the Transformers fan, it is the drop that spilled the cup regarding the coolness of this mod.

It seems pretty easy to make and it is definitely a cheap solution for those of you that are capable of reconnecting all the cables, boards and wires of a stripped down Xbox 360 console. I suggest you mod a new one so that you save yourself form a good cry when your actual one RRODs. Good job for givintats for showing the world what a gamer who has too much spare time can do.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
