Busy environments such as accounting offices or other small to mid-sized businesses need to have a lot of work done in a fast and hopefully cheap manner. This is why anyone with a little clue about the IT world will always recommend a multifunctional printer. And if color is not necessary, black and white is also the best choice in order for the firm to save more money. That being said, let us check out the new Xerox WorkCentre 5230 multifunctional printer.

The Xerox 5230 WorkCentre is meant to offer advanced (and multifunctional) options for SMBs everywhere by handling the printing, scanning, faxing and, of course, copying. It can print and copy up to 30 pages per minute with a paper capacity that's rated at about 5,100 sheets. It can scan in color, scan to network, scan to email or even send it directly to your mailbox or PC. There's even the possibility to automatically route documents to a predefined file.

The built-in Auditron and Xerox Standard Accounting track usage and make sure extra cost is avoided, while the Extensible Interface Platform, or EIP for short, allows for customized workflows.

“The new WorkCentre 5230 proves that offices can get a lot more from an MFP than just prints and copies,” said Rick Dastin, president, Global Products Delivery Group, Xerox Corporation. “This device is full of enterprise-level features to simplify work and give SMBs the productivity and efficiency they need, while maximizing their printer technology return on investment.”

Since this is the age of interconnected networking, Xerox is very aware of people's need to have their multifunctional printer shared over the network and so they made it possible so it can be added to an organization's network with Xerox's Mobile Express driver and Global Print Driver. The price is pretty steep (7,999 USD) but in the long run, I can help you save more than you've spent on it, I guess!
