Dare to guess what announcement Sony Ericsson just made? Well, it has just announced the
Xperia X10, its latest Xperia touchscreen mobile device sporting the “by now pretty famous” Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a speed of 1GHz. The display sizes 4 inches, has a WVGA resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and sports a scratch-resistant capacitive screen. Keep on reading for a lot more information.
The device features an 8.1-megapixel camera with autofocus, up to 16x digital zoom, as well as Geo tagging and intelligent face recognition features. Connectivity options are as follows: Bluetooth, Micro USB, Wi-Fi and, of course, the 3.5 mm audio jack. The Xperia X10 will come with the Android operating system and a whole new user interface dubbed the UX, that plans to grow together with the user.
According to Bert Nordberg, President,
Sony Ericsson, “The XPERIA X10 and the family of phones launching in the first half of 2010 underpin our commitment to an open and multi-platform strategy that maximises choice for the consumer and delivers the best possible consumer experience. The reaction from our global operator partners to the XPERIA X10 has been extremely positive and we will be rolling out across the world including Japan from the first half of 2010.”
If you want 3D games, the Xperia has them. You want quick access to your social networking accounts? No problem. And with new intelligent features such as the Mediascape and Timescape that automatically recognize connections between contacts, content and media... you will definitely have a blast.
I'll leave you with Rikko Sakaguchi, EVP and Chief Creation Officer, Sony Ericsson, “The XPERIAX10 is a fantastic example of our make.believe philosophy because we are pushing the boundaries of what is possible and demonstrating that anything consumers can imagine, we can make possible. With the X10, we are raising the bar we have set ourselves with entertainment-rich phones like Aino and Satio by making communication more fun and playful, multiplying and enriching opportunities to connect.”
