Your Office Will Never Have a Saeco Xelsis Digital ID Coffee Machine

While there is nothing more eccentric than adding a fingerprint recognizing system to a coffee machine, I am sure there are a few people out there going “I see it now, this actually makes sense” and even less people who already know they want one in their home or office. I say "even less" simply because you would have to be pretty rich in order to purchase a table mounted coffee machine costing $2,500.

This is yet another “grand design” seen on bornrich and one you can probably see in special stores, since it is already available. No concept here, this time, it's for real. So, let me tell you what mildly justifies its price.

First of all, the fingerprint recognition technology is not used in order to restrict others to use it. Instead, whenever your print is recognized by the Xelsis Digital ID coffee machine, it will automatically start making your favorite coffee, you know, the one you pre-set when you bought it. Also, the Xelsis Digital ID is made out of stainless steel and integrates a color display. There are also functions like timer programming, automatic descaling and machine self-cleaning. It comes with one additional powder container.

Like any other ultra-expensive gadget out there, expect this one to have a snobbish feature as well, as the machine only stores six fingerprints and the corresponding preferences, making the seventh person in this equation go through the whole embarrassing process of choosing what coffee he or she would like. How humiliating.

I can already see this machine from Saeco in the boss' office with his/her closest employees being able to touch-order a coffee. However, when the machine one day stops responding to you “Johnson,” you'd better start learning again how to use the automatic down the hall.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
