Since I've told you about a pair of speakers earlier, then why not take the whole thing further, and continue with speakers, but this time, on a slightly different note. In fact, this is something different, that could be considered quite eccentric by some, even nowadays,
when we always think we've seen them all.
What you see above is a piece of furniture, designed by Yu Kwang Soo to serve the purpose any speaker cabinet would serve. The furniture speaker, even just as a concept, is probably what these agglomerated times we live in need, since many people live in tight places, with
not too much space for loudspeakers.
Designer Yu Kwang Soo calls this the “the box project”, and he developed a full line-up of speaker systems embedded into furniture components. All of these are fully compliant with portable music players, since many people are also on the go usually, which is why they can stand living in such small apartments – because they don't spend that much time there, besides sleeping and weekends.
Also, the pieces of furniture
play CDs and have some of the prettiest iPod docks that I've seen, in the shape of small drawers. Kwang even made a speaker system that he named “compound body 2” that sports straps for carrying it like a bag or better-said a 'wooden boombox'.
